Alumni Brother Spotlight

An exclusive interview with David Castro, chief designer of Dungeon Forward.
Dungeon ForwardIn part 2 of our 2-part interview series, David Castro dives into the fashion market, social media’s influence on his fashion, the ideal fashion city, and the deeper meaning behind his premium brand. There is no room for risk aversion in fashion, but there is certainly space for it in business. David Castro, chief designer of Dungeon Forward, is straddling the lines a bit; he has to. He’s a graduate from FAMU and UM with a master’s degree in architecture, but that drastically different degree isn’t preventing his drive to be successful in a notoriously cut-throat fashion industry, so often defined by its risk-taking pioneers. Castro developed a premium lifestyle brand that combines art, music, and street culture. In part 1 of our interview discussion, we tackled the inner-workings of entrepreneurship, creativity, and authenticity. For Castro, there is no such thing as risk if one’s passion is inextricably linked to one’s goal.
